niversal Studios Singapore has just opened Minion Land, an exciting new section based on Despicable Me. The area includes three zones: Minion Marketplace, Gru’s Neighborhood, and Super Silly Fun Land.
Minion Marketplace offers shops filled with Minion-themed clothing, toys, and souvenirs. Visitors will find items like Minion goggles and plushies, as well as a store with stylish apparel. Gru’s Neighborhood is home to Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, a motion-simulator ride that lets visitors experience what it is like to be a Minion. The ride takes place inside Gru’s house, where guests can see objects from the movies before enjoying an adventure filled with drops and water effects.
Super Silly Fun Land has carnival-style games, including one where players launch bananas into baskets. There are also rides and a restaurant that serves Minion-inspired food, such as Stuart’s Japanese Curry Karaage. Visitors will be able to take pictures with life-sized Minion statues and spot hidden references to the movies.
