1 What will the man do on Sunday?
Woman: I’ve just been for a beautiful walk by the river.
Man: I’m going to go there on my bike on Sunday. There are always lots of people fishing on Saturday and Sunday.
Woman: Really? I like the boats. I’d like to go on a boat on the river.
Man: I prefer to be near the river, not on it!
2 Where is Jenny’s school bag?
Mum: Are you looking for your school bag, Jenny? It was in the car when we drove home.
Jenny: I took it out of the car and up to my bedroom… then I needed it for my homework.
Mum: Well, you did your homework in the dining room. Have you looked in there?
Jenny: Oh yeah, there it is, on the back of the chair.
3 What will they eat at the dinner party tonight?
Man: It’s getting very late. They’ll be here soon. Shall I make a salad?
Woman: Good idea. The main course is cooking, but I haven’t got time to make soup.
Man: That’s a pity. What about the cakes we bought?
Woman: Let’s put them in the fridge. We can have those tomorrow.
4 Where will the friends meet?
Man: You’re coming by bus so shall I meet you at the bus stop?
Woman: You don’t have to do that. I’ll walk into town and see you at 7.00 outside the cinema.
Man: Actually, I’m having coffee with Rachel then, at the new café on the High Street. Why don’t you come there?
Woman: OK! We can all go and see the film afterwards.
5 What did the boy do last night?
Girl: Did you spend all evening doing your homework? I did. It was so difficult!
Boy: My class didn’t get any homework last night!
Girl: So you spent all night watching TV. Wow, you’re lucky!
Boy: Not very lucky… only one programme was interesting. It was about computer games from Japan. It was really good!
