What did Sam do at school today?
WOMAN: Hello, Sam. Did you enjoy school today?
BOY: No, not very much.
WOMAN: Why not?
BOY: We all wrote stories.
WOMAN: Was it difficult?
BOY: Yes, I like reading stories, but I don’t like writing them!
1) What’s the matter with Jill?
WOMAN: What would you like to eat, Jill?
GIRL: I’m not very hungry, Mum. I don’t want any breakfast.
WOMAN: What’s the matter? Have you got stomach ache?
GIRL: No, but I’ve got earache, and I’m hot.
WOMAN: Well, you mustn’t go outside today.
2) Which child is Ben?
BOY: Look at this photo of birthday party. Can you find me?
MAN: Oh, Ben, that’s difficult. You’re all wearing party clothes. Are you the bat?
BOY: No, that’s friend, John.
MAN: Are you the clown, then?
BOY: Yes, I am. And this rabbit is sister!
3) What does John want for lunch?
WOMAN: Would you like some soup for lunch, John?
BOY: We had that yesterday. Can we have something different, please?
WOMAN: What about a pizza?
BOY: Oh, great! And can we have burgers and French fries for supper?
4) What does Jane want to take to Jim’s house?
BOY: Do you want to come to house after school, Jane?
GIRL: Yes, but I must do homework first. I can bring new video. It’s great!
BOY: Ooh, good. We can watch that and then listen to new CDs.
GIRL: OK, Jim.
5) What did Nick do at the weekend?
WOMAN: Did you go to the beach at the weekend, Nick?
BOY: No we didn’t, because it was cold and windy.
WOMAN: So, what did you do? Did you go to the cinema?
